It’s your online business card. Have you thought of it that way?

Does your headshot look amateur? Is it a selfie?

That could indicate to someone that you are new, that you are just starting out and you don’t have the budget to get professional pictures. It could also mean to someone that you don’t invest in your business or that you like to cut corners.

Would you hire someone to sell your home if that person cuts corners? Hmmm… I know I wouldn’t.

Is your headshot old? Does the person in the picture look totally different from who you are today?

I can tell from the old school lighting, the close in crop if a picture was taken even 3 years ago. Headshots have evolved so much in the last few years. Headshots are now more magazine inspired, can be showing a lot more personality, and they are definitely not necessarily a close Head and Shoulder portrait.

Listen, I get it. You looked a lot better, younger, skinnier, thinner, you had a lot more hair 5 years ago. BUT if you hire me I promise that you won’t be sorry.
